Although health insurance can provide coverage for some preventive care and in the case of illness or injury, it’s important to take charge of your health outside of these instances. Whether you’re interested in AgelessRx products or services, or have a current subscription with us, this blog post aims to answer the most common questions you may have about using health insurance or HSA/FSA funds to cover the costs of your prescription(s).
Insurance Coverage & AgelessRx
AgelessRx does not currently accept insurance.
At AgelessRx, we provide access to prescription therapies for the prevention of age-related diseases. Furthermore, we believe preventative care is extremely important and plays a critical role in longevity. Unfortunately, not all insurance companies place the same emphasis on preventative care. As such, our products/services are not currently billable to insurance.
Presently, insurance companies require ICD-10 conditions (the statistical classification of disease published by the World Health Organization) in order to provide coverage. AgelessRx does not diagnose or treat any of the current ICD-10 conditions and, as such, cannot provide the necessary codes for reimbursement/coverage at this time. This may change in the future as our products and services evolve.
While AgelessRx does not currently accept insurance nor work with insurance companies to cover the cost of prescriptions, you may be eligible to use HSA or FSA funds, depending on your plan.
Using Your HSA Card
HSA Cards are an accepted method of payment at AgelessRx.
If you would like to use your HSA Card for an order, simply enter your HSA card information at checkout as you would any other credit card.
If you’ve already placed an order, you can update your payment information with your HSA card at any time. To update your payment information, login to your AgelessRx customer portal. Once logged in, click on “Manage Subscriptions” (top right corner) and follow the prompts to update your payment method.
If, at any time, an itemized receipt is required, you can reference your original “Thank you for your order” email, which outlines the product and transaction amount of your order. Otherwise, you can contact AgelessRx directly for assistance.
In some cases, and depending on your provider (e.g. WageWorks), a basic medical necessity letter or form is required. If so, please contact AgelessRx directly for assistance. A minimum of 2-3 business days is required to process such requests.*
Using Your FSA Card
FSA Cards are not an accepted method of payment at AgelessRx.
While AgelessRx cannot currently accept FSA cards as a method of payment, some patients have found success in obtaining reimbursement by providing a copy of an itemized receipt and/or basic medical necessity letter. Please contact AgelessRx for assistance in obtaining these documents for possible reimbursement. A minimum of 2-3 business days is required to process such requests.*
AgelessRx will continue to explore additional options to begin accepting FSA cards in the near future. If/when this becomes available, we will update this page.
*Note: AgelessRx cannot guarantee your HSA or FSA will accept and/or cover the cost of any AgelessRx product/service. Additionally, we cannot guarantee that a completed medical necessity letter or form will result in coverage/reimbursement from your HSA or FSA.
