FAQs
How does NovoCare work?
NovoCare is a program that helps patients and providers maintain easy access to prescriptions like Wegovy®. NovoCare requires a prescription from a prescriber to access Wegovy®. That’s where AgelessRx comes in.
AgelessRx provides a consultation to consider your request for a Wegovy® prescription, along with ongoing healthcare monitoring for the duration of your prescription, if approved.
If your AgelessRx prescriber approves your prescription request, they will send your prescription directly to NovoCare. From there, NovoCare will text you directly to confirm your identity, complete payment, and manage your Wegovy® deliveries.
The initial consultation and ongoing monitoring from AgelessRx costs $50/month. The cost of Wegovy® is $499 for all doses. The cost of the medication is separate and paid directly to NovoCare, not AgelessRx. Please note that you will not receive your Wegovy® delivery until you complete payment with NovoCare. If you pause or delay your refills for more than 14 days, your AgelessRx prescriber may ask that you restart your titration schedule.
How much does Wegovy® cost?
Wegovy® costs $499 per month for all doses, no matter where you’re at in your journey. The ongoing prescription access, consultation, and health monitoring from AgelessRx costs $50 per month. Together, the total monthly charge for Wegovy® is $549.
Please note that AgelessRx only charges for prescription access for Wegovy® and ongoing health monitoring. Pricing and shipping of Wegovy® is not provided by AgelessRx or any of its pharmacy partners.
The cost may be subject to change at any time according to NovoCare. However, we have no indication that the price will change at this time.
What should I do if I have problems with my Wegovy® prescription?
Please call NovoCare Customer Support at +1 (888) 809-3942 for non-medical questions, including lost or damaged prescriptions. You can always message your prescriber on your AgelessRx portal for any medical questions related to your treatment or prescription, like non-urgent side effects and dose change requests. For urgent side effects, please stop using Wegovy® immediately and dial 911 or visit your nearest emergency medical care center.
How much weight can I lose?
Clinical trials have shown that Wegovy® users can lose up to 15% of their initial body weight. For a 200lb individual, that equals up to 30lbs. However, individual results may vary based on your prescribed dose, medical history, and lifestyle choices. For the best results, use Wegovy® with a reduced-calorie meal plan and regular exercise. If you feel that you’re not achieving your expected results, contact your prescriber to see what’s best for you.
How quickly can I lose weight with Wegovy®?
For the best results, Wegovy® should be used regularly for at least 6-12 months with a reduced-calorie meal plan and regular exercise. Clinical trials show an average of 15% weight loss within 68 weeks, or about 15-16 months, with many participants showing up to 8% weight loss within 12 weeks. However, this can vary depending on your health history, exercise level, and diet.
It’s okay to stop taking Wegovy® if, for example, side effects become too difficult to manage, as long as you tell your prescriber first. If you do abruptly stop taking Wegovy®, please note that your appetite and weight may return just as quickly. Do not stop taking Wegovy® for more than 14 days, or you may be asked to restart your dosing schedule.
